A brief update of our journey on earth...

I feel compelled to post an update of our family.  To hold your attention I have decided to apply the wisdom in the quote by Inigo Montoya from our family's most favorite movie, The Princess Bride.  "No, there is too much.  Let me sum up."

Nic and Amy are moving to Dallas, Tx.  David is living in South Korea and teaching English as a Second Language at an all girl middle school (7th - 9th grade). Randy is unemployed and has been for more than a year. My mother-in-law is 89 and moved in with us five months ago. We are preparing to sell our home and planning to move into her much smaller home to minimize our living expenses. That is just some of what is happening with our family.  I plan to post our upcoming needs on this blog.  If you are able to help in any way...that would be fantastic!

It seems God's hand is heavy upon us and we cry out, "How long O Lord?" I believe his answer is, "As long as it takes to expose the idols hiding in your hearts and to completely destroy any object, attitude, memory, and belief which keeps you from solely trusting and worshiping Me." We need to submit to the knife of His severe mercy, allow Him to dig deeply into our hearts, and wait for healing and wholeness. This season is nothing like either of us have ever known before. Please pray that we will persevere and not give up before His work is complete and we see a new passion in our hearts.

"...Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don't matter at all, because once you are Real you can't be ugly, except to people who don't understand..." (the Skin Horse)
